It’s not just Good…it’s Good Business!
Project RELO is a Veterans services 501c3 organization that enables organizations to realize a competitive advantage by hiring US Military Veterans. We work with employers to ensure they are maximizing their hiring investments, while also working with applicants and employees to solidify their preparation, on-boarding and career trajectories.
Together, this combination changes the accepted paradigm of hiring US Veterans simply because it is the right thing to do, to hiring Veterans because it is a strategic business imperative.

FAQ
You have questions, we have answers
What do I need to pack?
With the weather constantly changing in northern Michigan, we provide numerous packing lists to accommodate each person. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear. When you enlist on a mission, you will be provided with a packing list. If you forget something, we always have extra gear to issue.
Are the missions physical?
While there is a level of physicality on the missions, there is no physical requirement. We have controls in place for everybody of every physical level. Whether you run marathons or you just retired from your second career, you will be able to complete a Project RELO mission
Where are the missions conducted?
A majority of the missions are conducted on Camp Grayling in Grayling, MI. There are times when the missions are at other bases, so keep a look out on our Situation Report page.
Can I bring my entire team?
Absolutely!!! What better way to do professional development and team building than to accomplish a military style mission as one!
What is the typical time commitment for a mission?
Project RELO missions are 72 hours in length. The way it is broken down is that day zero is a travel day and we ask that you arrive no later than 1700 hrs (5:00pm) EST that day where lodging is provided. You will then spend two nights in the field, and will depart around 1200 hrs EST on day 3.
I am ready to join a mission, How do I do that?
This is an easy answer. Click on this link JOIN A MISSION and fill out the information. We will receive, review and call you back to discuss the exact details of the next mission you are to attend. It’s that easy.
What exactly do we do on a mission?
Well if we told you, then we’d have to… Wait that comment doesn’t work here. We don’t want to spoil the surprise! Besides, no two missions are alike! You’ll just have to enlist and find out!
I don’t have time to come on a mission, but still want to hire veterans. Can I still be involved in Project RELO?
Absolutely! Although we would love for you to join us and join our family, we understand time constraints and obligations. If you want to be part of the mission, but can’t physically be there, we have you covered. Just contact us at info@projectrelo.org and we will take care of you!
I’m a vegetarian. Are there options to eat for me?
Yes. Prior to every mission, we conduct detailed orientations that capture any dietary restrictions, medical concerns, etc. We adjust our menu accordingly based on people’s restrictions.

ProjectRELO Vet™
ProjectRELO Vets are confident in their skill sets and ready to transition from military service to a lasting civilian career. We guide you along the path to becoming a ProjectRELO Vet by following a proven step by step process:
Step 1: The Interview
We conduct a comprehensive interview with you to help you discern which skills and experiences are most relevant to companies. You would be surprised at how many skills you already have that you didn’t even know about, because it was just part of achieving the military mission.
Step 2: The Preparation
We work directly with you to prepare you for interviews, evaluate your comfort level with specific companies and job roles, and mock interviews, resume design, matching key skills to desires, understanding your passions, capabilities, and matching your care abouts to companies that share those values.
Step 3: The Placement
We work directly with companies of all sizes to help you find the right place to build your career. We don't recommend a position for you unless we feel that it is a great fit. We also won't put you into a position until you are ready…and our team is here to help you get ready.
Step 4: The Follow-up
Because most new employees are not sure if they have chosen the right company for approximately six months, our team stays with you and your employer during this time to make sure both parties receive the proper mentorship in order to drive successful outcomes.
The Mission
While optional, ProjectRELO Missions™ are designed to help you demonstrate your unique mission-oriented skills sets, decision making abilities and leadership skills in a military-like environment. We invite business leaders to participate in these missions as well in order to help them to better understand the value and competitive advantage you can bring to their companies.
